PIP Program HighlightsDear Friends of Puppetry In Practice, Check out our program highlights for this Fall! In addition to what’s new, we continue to offer fantastic special Holiday Programs, Performances and Festivals for Halloween, Chinese New Year, Earth Day and Poetry Month! We also continue to offer incredible arts and literacy School Day, After School Residencies, Parent, and Staff Development Programs all over NYC ! Tova Ackerman, Director and Founder Graphic Artist and Creator of Rocketo Joins PIPFrank Espinosa, graphic artist and creator of the Rocketo series, has joined PIP as a guest artist. He will be working with us in schools in Bronx, offering his professional knowledge while working with students to create new worlds for Rocketo, his world voyager. Puppets Meet Avatars/Low Tech Meets High TechThis school year we are continuing to offer integrated arts and technology programs. Our puppet literacy offerings now can include an even greater variety of media. Our multimedia programs, especially appropriate for middle and high school students, combine Puppetry Arts with Flash Animation and Stop Motion Claymation. Little Puppet Lovers and Their ParentsEspecially appropriate for Pre School and Elementary School Age children, you can book performances of Witch Bungle, The Empty Pot and Group Soup for your children. We also offer wonderful Parent Literacy and Arts Workshops which can be held in conjunction with one of these performances. Also check out our list of FREE performances at Brooklyn Public Libraries throughout the borough! Puppetry and Folklore Museum Open to the PublicInterested in folklore studies? Want to take an introductory course in Flash Animation, or Puppetry Arts? We are offering new adult workshops at our Museum this fall. At this time, we are also accepting proposals from community members wishing to utilize our museum to offer free community classes or workshops. The PIP Museum in Marine Park, Brooklyn is open by appointment.
