Our History
Both Premiere Solutions and Puppetry in Practice have the goal of improving educational opportunities in the schools. While Premiere Solutions has developed Premiere Schools as the vehicle through which to provide web and digital support, Puppetry in Practice (PIP) has a 30 year history of placing artists into the classroom to support children's ability to learn. As specialists in working with students struggling to master English as a second language as well as students who have special needs, PIP has developed an array of programs that incorporate puppetry, storytelling, book-making and related visual and performance skills. This collaboration between PIP and Premiere Solutions has fostered new means to monitor students' progress in learning, utilizing on-line digital records that incorporate the use of predictors that allow teachers to differentiate instruction fo these students. Website options such as electronic portfolios, creative worksheets and special education predictor rubrics, are available to schools as an adjunct to the classroom residencies conducted by PIP.
