Puppet Shows

We offer small and large puppet shows for all ages. The performances can be booked as part of a residency or as stand alone special events.
- The Empty Pot
- When the wise emperor of China wanted to choose a successor, he held a
most unusual contest. This magical tale about honesty rewarded is performed
with a combination of rod and shadow puppets. This performance is often
part of a festival at Chinese New Year.
- Group Soup
- Based on the folktale Stone Soup, Rodney Rabbit the itinerant
Magician goes around and spreads his magic. He is tired of eating
sandwiches and would like to have soup but doesn’t have the
ingredients, only a stone. With the help of his friends he makes a
wonderful soup! His real magic trick is getting everyone to cooperate!
- Adventures of Anansi the Spider
- This Anansi the Spider story examines how Anansi's efforts to
trick his friends backfire. The storyteller casts a web of magic on his
audience while Anansi the Spider involves the Children in his own trickery.
- Flip's Fantastic Journals
- This puppet show for young children teaches about
responsibility. Angelo DeCesare's characters are brought to life and
interact with each other and with the children in the class.
- The Monkey and the Crocodile
- When Crocodile tried to trick Monkey in this comic tale
from India, he finds himself tricked. Monkey not only gets the better of
Crocodile, but teaches him the meaning of friendship.
- The Rooster and the Coyote
- In this Native American folk tale about who makes
the sun rise, Coyote and Rooster compete for the title of Sun Caller.
